HOW DO I GET MY BAND ON A BILL?

  • Water Street Music Hall primarily books national artists or local bands that have a following. If you are looking to get started in Rochester, Water Street Music Hall is probably not the right venue for you. However, if you are a local band that has a crowd of 100 or more, The Club at Water St may be more appropriate. If this sounds like you, submit your info to info@waterstreetmusic.com. Include the name of the band, a contact name, a link to your website or Facebook page, a link to your EPK or Sonicbids page, venues you have performed in and your draw in the area. Please do not email us large audio or video files.
  • If you are a local band interested in opening for a national act please send an email to info@waterstreetmusic.com. Please include the name of your band, contact person, website or Facebook link. If you have an EPK, Sonicbids or Reverbnation account include that link. Please do not send us large files or attachments. If you can be flexible and do acoustic if needed mention that, a number of touring bands specifically ask for that.
  • Read our message to local bands on Facebook here (link).

  • Submit your EPK through Reverbnation

  • PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large amount of inquiries we receive, not all submissions will be responded to. Hard copy press kits can be sent to water Street Music Hall, c/o Booking: 204 N. Water St. Rochester, NY 14604.

IS THERE SEATING FOR EVERY SHOW?

No, there is not seating for every show. Shows that are seated will say so in the calendar listing, and it can be theatre-style (rows), cabaret-style (tables and chairs) or a combination of both. ALL TICKETS ARE GENERAL ADMISSION. There are no reserved seats so arrive early for the best selection.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY OVERNIGHT?

We recommend the newly renovated Radisson Riverside Hotel, a short riverside walk from Water Street. To book a room at the WSMH fan rate click on this link. (see map)

DO YOU HAVE AN ATM?

Yes, it is located in the main Music Hall room near the front door.

WHERE CAN I GET SOMETHING TO EAT?

Our neighborhood, the St. Paul Quarter, has several restaurants to choose from for night time eats. We recommend one of these:

  • Pane Vino (elegant Italian dining) -175 N. Water St. (585)232-6090
  • Tapas 177 (eclectic contemporary, try their Ostrich Mignon!) - 177 St Paul St. (585)262-2090
  • Tavern 58 (Full menu) 58 University Ave. (585) 546-5800
  • Scotland Yard (wood fired pizza, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, try a Scotland Yard Burger ) - 187 St. Paul St.

WHERE CAN I GET TICKETS?

Tickets may be purchased through Front Gate Tickets at 888-512-SHOW or on our website, http://waterstreetmusic.frontgatetickets.com. If you select "will call" you may pick up your tickets on the day of the show at door times. We recommend checking each show for ticket information, age restrictions and other details.

We accept CASH only for tickets purchased at the door but we do have an ATM for your convenience.

If a show is cancelled tickets will be refunded at point of purchase otherwise tickets are non-refundable.

I ORDERED TICKETS, WHEN AND WHERE CAN I PICK THEM UP?

Since we do not have a box office at this time, all "will call" or pre-ordered tickets are available when the doors open for the show.

DO YOU HAVE A COAT CHECK?

Yes, we have a coat check available seasonally for a nominal fee.

I SEE TWO SHOWS LISTED FOR THE SAME NIGHT, WHAT'S UP?

Water Street Music Hall has two completely separate venues under one roof — The Water Street Music Hall and The Club at Water Street. There are often shows in both rooms at the same time. They are separate so you need a ticket for each show. You can not roam from room to room.

WILL YOU RELEASE MORE TICKETS FOR A SOLD OUT SHOW?

Sorry, a sold out show means it is sold out.

I'M A CONCERNED PARENT WORRIED ABOUT SENDING MY KID TO A SHOW.

  • Only you can decide whether the Water Street Music Hall or The Club at Water Street is the right environment for your child. We encourage first-timers to attend a concert with their kids to decide for themselves. We find that after that initial visit, most people are comfortable allowing their child to attend shows.
  • Age restrictions are listed with the show information on our schedule. Most shows are 18+ w/ID. On occasion we have all ages shows or 16+ w/ID, for those shows minors must be accompanied by an adult. If you plan on attending a show with someone under the age of 18, please call ahead.

WHAT TYPE OF ID IS ACCEPTED?

We accept identification that provides proof of age from a valid State driver's license, valid State Non-Driver's license, Military ID and passports. NO EXCEPTIONS!

WHERE ARE THE TECH SPECS FOR THE VENUE?

Right here!

WHAT TIME DOES THE SHOW REALLY START?

  • We list both door and show times. Please note that standard door times do not reflect the time the artists start but, the time allowed for entrance. For most shows we suggest arriving early, at door times to allow enough time for entrance to the venue.
  • Typically we have a local band on the show as support for the touring artist. We love our local bands and hope you will arrive on time for the show to see the local band or support act traveling with the headliner. You never know who will be the next big thing!
  • Advance tickets for many upcoming shows are available through Front Gate Tickets. We accept CASH only for tickets purchased at the door but we do have an ATM for your convenience.

DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?

  • Yes, we do serve alcohol to persons 21 and over who have proper identification (see below).

WE ARE NOT A "BAR" OR "PUB". WE ARE A CONCERT HALL, ONLY OPEN WHEN THERE IS LIVE ENTERTAINMENT.

  • *We are under new management and are currently not selling alcohol as we are awaiting our Liquor License.

WHAT IS YOUR AGE POLICY?

  • Age restrictions are listed with the show information on our schedule. Most shows are 18+ w/ID. On occasion we have all ages shows or 16+ w/ID, for those shows minors must be accompanied by an adult. If you plan on attending a show with someone under the age of 18, please call ahead.
