How do I get to the Water Street Music Hall?
Click here for Google maps link Back to TopWhere can I park ?Parking is available for a nominal fee around back of our building on Carthage St. Parking on the street is free after 6 pm Mon.-Fri. and all day Sat. and Sun. Do you allow smoking? We now have our second floor outdoor Smoking Lounge open. Ask the attendant when you arrive if it is open for your show. If not, smoking is allowed outdoors for persons 21+. NO ONE under 21 may exit and re-enter for any show. Back to TopHow do I get my band on a bill?Water Street Music Hall primarily books national artists or local bands that have a following. If you are looking to get started in Rochester, Water Street Music Hall is not the right venue for you. Opening slots are limited (most national acts bring their own support) or reserved for bands we feel are hard working and have a significant following. However, if your band has a crowd of 50 or more, The Club at Water St or our new Acoustic Stage may be more appropriate. If this sounds like you, submit your info to dave at waterstreetmusic dot com. Please put "Artist Booking" in the subject line. Include the name of the band, a contact name, a link to your website or MySpace and your draw in the area. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large amount of inquiries we receive, not all submissions will be responded to. Hard copy press kits can be sent c/o Booking: 204 N. Water St. Rochester, NY 14604 Back to TopIs there seating for every show? No, there is not seating for every show. Shows that are seated will say so in the calendar listing, and it can be theatre-style (rows), cabaret-style (tables and chairs) or a combination of both. ALL TICKETS ARE GENERAL ADMISSION. There are no reserved seats so arrive early for the best selection. Back to TopWhere should I stay overnight? We recommend Clarion Riverside Hotel. Tell them you're coming to a show at the Water Street Music Hall. Click here. Back to TopYes, it is located in the main Music Hall room near the front door. Where can I get something to eat? Our neighborhood, the St. Paul Quarter, has several restaurants to choose from for night time eats. We recommend one of these:
Call (585) 329-5600 for more information Back to TopWe do not have a box office at our location. Most show tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations, (all Macy's Department stores, House of Guitars, Lakeshore Records on Park Ave} or Aaron's Alley (Monroe Ave) We recommend checking each show for details on ticket information. Back to TopI ordered tickets, when and where can I pick them up? Since we do not have a box office, all "will call" or pre-ordered tickets are available when the doors open for the show, at the front gate. Back to TopYes, we have a coat check available seasonally for a nominal fee. I see two shows listed for the same night, what's up? Water Street Music Hall has two completely separate venues under one roof- The Water Street Music Hall and The Club at Water Street -respectfully. There are often shows in both rooms at the same time. They are separate so you need a ticket for each show. You can not roam from room to room. Will you release more tickets for a sold out show? Sorry, a sold out show means it is sold out. My friend got thrown out of the club, why? Well, that does happen and believe us, it is no fun for either party. The State of NY has very strict rules governing the consumption and sales of alcohol. We choose to follow these rules: Reasons for getting thrown out of Water Street Music Hall or The Club at Water Street:
We understand if you don't like us afterward. Trust us, we don't like being the bad guy but in order to continue providing quality entertainment we must enforce these rules. I'm a concerned parent worried about sending my kid to an all ages show. Don't you serve alcohol? Yes, we do serve alcohol to persons 21 and over who have proper identification (see below). Only you can decide whether the Water Street Music Hall or The Club at Water Street is the right environment for your child. We encourage first-timers to attend a concert with their kids to decide for themselves. We find that after that initial visit, most people are comfortable allowing their kid to attend all ages shows. REMEMBER! Anyone under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult, that being any person older than 18. We accept identification that provides proof of age from a valid State driver's license, valid State Non-Driver's license, Military ID and passports. NO EXCEPTIONS!
