The Water Street Music Hall is a large capacity, 7000 square foot entertainment complex featuring two rooms that can be used together or separately. We are located in the St. Paul Quarter entertainment district of Rochester, NY - conveniently located directly off I490 east and west via exit 13.

Our doors opened in 1977 as the Country Warehouse, and has since been The Warehouse, The Horizontal Boogie Bar and the Boogie Bar. It became the Water Street Music Hall in 1999 and has emerged as one of Rochester, NY's premier concert spots, garnering the "Best Live Music Club" and "Best Live Entertainment Venue" by the Rochester, NY Democrat and Chronicle's People's Choice Awards in 2002, 2003 and 2006.

Our main room is approximately 3000 sq. foot. of open space with a 1700 square foot balcony overlooking the stage. (To rent this space click here) Capacity for this room is 1300. As all shows are different, we are able to accommodate most needs. We can seat 400 people theater style, or set tables and chairs for 130 with additional bar and drink rail seating. Our 80 ft bar (one of the longest in the city) stretches the full length of the room for ample access.

Our smaller room, The Club @Water Street is approximately 2200 sq. feet of open space with a multi-tiered balcony that wraps around the room. It is a unique room offering an intimate setting of standing room or table seating. The 20 foot, spacious bar came from an old church and offers a view of the stage, while the back of the room has a hot/cold concession stand and espresso bar.

The Club at Water Street is equipped with projectors and screens for support use from the main room for a live broadcast of that show, slides and/or video or sporting events. Capacity of The Club is 1010 standing including the balcony space. This room has been freshly remodeled and can be used as a dining area for private parties. This room is to be converted to cafe style seating with a full service restaurant in 2009 offering an intimate dining experience with live entertainment starting at 10 pm. See photos here.

Please note that standard door times do not reflect the time the artists start but, the time allowed for entrance. Advance tickets for many upcoming shows are available through Ticketmaster. We accept CASH only for tickets purchased at the door.
